Reid Healthier Community Day! RIBBON-CUTTING

The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, along with Mayor Harold Gordon, will welcome REID HEALTH to our community with a Ribbon-Cutting ceremony, which will take place just before the start of Reid Healthier Community Day activities on August 10, at Roberts Park.
Reid Health officially opened their doors at the Reid Health-Connersville Hospital on July 16th.  This ribbon-cutting is a symbolic "All-in-One" event to both welcome Reid Health and promote their first Connersville community event.

  Reid Health will host its first Reid Health-ier Community Day on Saturday, August 10, at Roberts Park in Connersville. 

The event from 9 a.m. to noon is designed to promote healthy choices and share various services available from the health system to improve community health - and just have some fun.  All activities, including the Color Run, are free.

More than 50 team members will be on hand to lead activities that include:

• A 3K Family Friendly Color Run -- Registration will open at 8 a.m. for this event.  The first 500 registrants will get a free T-shirt and sunglasses for the run!
• Fitness classes led by HealthWorks instructors
• Rock climbing wall
• Face painting
• Strong-man competition
• Scavenger hunt
• Information about Reid Health resources and screenings
• Inflatables

Healthy snacks and prizes will also be available, along with booths with information about services.

In conjunction with the event, Reid is also sponsoring Family Day at Connersville Park Pool with free admission from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. - and a free beach towel to the first 250 swimmers.
