The Cost Accounting Manager will provide operational finance support and analysis for organization. This role is expected to drive all operational and supply chain metrics across the business and be a critical business partner to the Operations Manager. You will also lead project reviews, project margin accuracy, manufacturing cost analysis, and absorption analysis. The business outlook is one of growth with future requirements of localization of product management, manufacturing, and technology. The Cost Accounting Manager will also work in conjunction with cost accountants who will assist where necessary to meet operational deliverables.
Partner with technical/business leaders and staff to drive operating performance and act as champion for cost optimization, productivity, inventory accuracy & utilization, as well as inventory standard settings
Develop estimates, operating plans, forecasts, and reviews
Use experience and knowledge of line of business and trends to determine materiality of variances in the analysis and reporting process
Ensure planning cycle and reporting requirement deadlines are met by facilitating and coordinating efforts across multiple function to gather required data
Work effectively with business leaders to proactively drive key business initiatives and effectively analyze and report the financial impact on the business
Manage all revenue recognition procedures while maintaining compliance with SOX and US GAAP
Owns the process of ensuring project margins is correctly applied via Howden policy, creates and maintains accrual process when necessary
AX Business Process Owner for Finance (BPO) and responsible for all training associated with Finance Processes
Participate in Process improvement events and utilize financial expertise or prior knowledge to help the company achieve desired results
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
5-7 years of experience in a costing position
Strong ERP skills
Advance Microsoft Excel skills
Report, KPI, and analytical skills
Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
Sense of urgency, team player, detail oriented, process minded, and task oriented
