    Promotions at Union Savings and Loan
    Union Savings and Loan is proud to announce promotions of several key personnel.  Amanda Back, Derrick Mathews, Amy Hammons, and Tim Carsey have all been promoted in Senior Management of the locally owned bank.
     “On behalf of everyone at USLA, I’d like to congratulate these fine individuals on their promotions, and thank them for their outstanding service,” says President Myers.  “As a community bank, teamwork is essential, and it starts with good people.  All four individuals have been outstanding employees for Union Savings and Loan,” says President Myers.  “They, along with all of our employees, are the future of USLA.“

    Amanda Back has been promoted to Executive Vice President. Amanda has 20 years of experience in banking, all with USLA, previously serving as Vice President of Audit/Compliance.  She is a life-long Fayette County resident, a graduate of Connersville High School, and has an Associates Degree in Business Management from IU East.  She is married to Dustin Back, and they have 2 daughters, Kara and Kaitlyn.  Amanda is a member of Connersville Baptist Temple.
    Derrick Mathews has been promoted to the dual roles of Chief Financial Officer and Senior Trust Officer. Derrick joined USLA in 2014 and has since completed Cannon Trust School, Cannon Investment Management School, and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds designations as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) and an Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager (AFIM). He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville and an MBA from Ball State University. Derrick is an active member of the Connersville Rotary Club and serves on the boards of the Fayette County Economic Development Group (EDG), Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and Dale Cemetery. Derrick resides in Connersville with his wife, Sara, and their two children, Maverick and Margot.
    Amy Hammons has been promoted to Chief Lending Officer.  With 27 years of experience with USLA, Amy is the Branch Manager of the very successful 30th Street location, and previously served as Senior Vice President of Business Development.  Amy is a graduate of Temple Christian School, and she is very active in the community, serving on the Board of The Link as Treasurer, Altrusa Club of Connersville and Junior Achievement.  Amy resides in Connersville, with her husband, Jason, and their 4 children, Kristin Lawson, Makala, Colton, and Ella Hammons.
    Tim Carsey has been promoted to Chief Lending Officer.  Tim has 28 years of banking experience, working many years at PNC Bank where he was Consumer Lending Transformation Manager before coming to USLA in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Loan Administration.  Tim resides here with his wife, Patricia, and they have 2 children, Ryan and Sara.
    Union Savings and Loan was founded in Connersville in 1892.  The bank has 2 locations in Connersville, 730 Central Avenue, and 500 W 30th Street, as well as a branch in Greenfield and a new branch opening very soon in Rushville.
